Nate Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kilpatrick Funeral Home - West Monroe on Dec. 23, 2025.
Memorial services for Nate Miller will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, with Pastor Terri Trichell officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Nate was born on January 16, 1978, in West Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on December 18, 2025, also in West Monroe.
Nate worked on cell towers and in the oil industry, professions that reflected his strength, courage, and determination. Beyond his work, he was a gifted artist, naturalist, musician, and comedian whose creativity and humor brought light to everyone around him. Nate carried a deep sensitivity to the world and felt things profoundly. His heart was vast and loving, and while that depth allowed him to care so fiercely for others, it also meant he carried heavy burdens quietly. He will be remembered for the love he gave so freely and the light he shared so generously.
Nate loved his family deeply, and his dogs were truly his children. He shared an unbreakable bond with them, caring for them with unwavering devotion and love. He was known for his boundless generosity and kindness, often giving his last penny to someone in need. Teaching others came naturally to Nate, and the patience and skills he shared will continue to live on through those he mentored.
He was deeply loved by many, and his loss has left hearts broken beyond measure.
Nate was preceded in death by his brother, Loyal Thomas Miller, and his stepmother, Martha Reed Miller.
He is survived by his father, Thomas Edward Miller; his mother, Teresa Brendle Langston; his sister, Evangeline Miller Ogden and husband Jerry; his brother, Julian Brendle Langston; his stepbrother, Reed Alan Rogers; and his cousins, Scott Miller and Jenny Miller-Harvey; and his most cherished nieces and nephews, Layla Langston, Elliot Miller, Eden Miller, Kaia Joy Miller, and Jackson Langston. He was going to be the best great uncle to his unborn nephew Maverick Lee.
