Nathan A. Carcieri, 38, died unexpectedly June 29, 2023. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of David Carcieri and Elaine (Selby) Kononchik.
In addition to his parents, Nathan is survived by daughter, Nevaeh Carcieri; sister, Alicia Carcieri; and grandparents, Gary Selby, Rita Selby, and Jeanne Carcieri. He was predeceased by his grandfather, David Carcieri, Sr.
Nate attended Plainfield High School and the Killingly Vocational Agriculture Program.
He was very athletic; Nate played basketball, football, soccer, baseball as a Moosup Allstar, and raced BMX bikes.
Nate was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves
He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing, kayaking, and golfing. Nate loved spending time with friends and family.
Nate was notorious for his jokes and pranks. One of his favorites was "You have something on your shirt", then flicking your nose when you looked down.
Nate possessed an extraordinary talent for carpentry, creating masterpieces with his skilled hands. He had an innate ability to turn raw materials into works of art, whether it was crafting intricate pieces or building impressive structures that stood as a testament to his craftsmanship. His dedication to his craft was evident in every detail, and he took immense pride in creating something beautiful and lasting.
As an avid motorcyclist, Nate found freedom and exhilaration on the open road. He embraced the thrill of riding, exploring new landscapes, and connecting with fellow enthusiasts. He reveled in the sense of community that motorcycling brought and cherished the friendships he made along the way. Nate lived life to the fullest, cherishing each moment he spent on his motorcycle.
Nate will forever be remembered for his exceptional talent, adventurous spirit, and compassionate nature. He was a loving son, a loyal friend, and a source of inspiration to all who knew him. His infectious laughter, his eagerness to lend a helping hand, and his zest for life will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Nathan's family from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 7, 2023, in Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Road, Plainfield, CT.
