Nathan Curtis Carter

With doleful hearts we announce the passing of our beloved and cherished husband, father, brother, son and friend, Nathan Curtis Carter. Nathan went to be with our Heavenly Father on May 14, 2024. He was born in Joplin, Missouri on March 28, 1972, to Ron and Juanita Carter. He grew up alongside his sister Michelle in Emporia, Kansas. A graduate of Emporia High School, Nathan furthered his education at Pacific Christian College. He then made his family home in Topeka, Kansas in 1996 then moved to the DFW area in 2020 where he claimed to be a native, true cowboy and wore his cowboy hat and cowboy boots with pride.
Nathan loved the Kansas City Chiefs, NASCAR, golf, fishing, and Cody Johnson. Moreover, he loved and adored his wife and family, and treasured his role as hubby, dad and pops. But above all he loved his Lord and Savior and served with his wife Hope, leading small groups through Milestone Church.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving wife and soulmate Hope, his children, and their families; Keigan Landcaster, Madison Carter, Kooper Carter and wife Lauren, Karson Carter and wife Katlyn, and Gavin Carter, his adored grandchildren Ajna Ayala, Kami Croft and Karson Croft, and sweet fur baby Lola, his sister Michelle Henry and husband Dave, and parents Ron and Juanita Carter. Nathan was NaeNae to nieces and nephews Meg, Korbin, Dylan, Hunter, CJ, William, and Eastyn. His absence will also be profoundly felt by a community of friends, colleagues and all who respected and admired Nathan.
He truly embodied the meaning of love as he loved big. He had a contagious smile and an even more contagious laugh. We will remember Nathan with love and fondness at his memorial service on May 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. held at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main St., Keller, TX 76248. A memorial service in Kansas will be held on May 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 6800 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66615. We hope to see all friends and family who can attend help us remember Nathan and the phenomenal man he was.
