Nathan Chaney

Nathan Linn Chaney, 29, of LaOtto, passed away on September 2, 2020, in Dekalb County. Born in Auburn, on January 12, 1991, to the Bryan Chaney and Melissa Swadley. He spent his formative years in LaOtto, graduating from East Noble High School in 2009. Nathan worked for Adventure Homes in Garrett. He loved spending time with his son, Carter and his girlfriend, Toni. He liked to go fishing, boating, tubing and just enjoyed being outside. Nathan is survived by his son, Carter Chaney; his girlfriend, Toni Muzzillo; his father, Bryan (Barb Shoudel) Chaney; his mother, Melissa Swadley; his step-parents, Bob and Katrina Clark; his brother, Kyle (Sarah Fries) Clark; his sister, Kimberly Clark; his grandfather, Alan (Marsha) Chaney; his grandmother, Joyce Chaney; his two uncles, Mark (Carol) Chaney and Todd (Kay) Chaney; his best friend, Robby (Jessica Michell) Cottrell; many cousins. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 11:00, with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed for his son Carter C/O Bryan Chaney.
