Nathan Charles Chervenka, age 16 of Denmark passed away following an auto accident at Children's Hospital of Milwaukee. He was born on July 13, 2008, in Green Bay to Michael and Christy (Brice) Chervenka. He attended Denmark High School and was currently a junior. He was also taking college courses at Ahnapee Diesel Center through NWTC. Nathan was a fighter. Battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma since April of 2024. Nathan loved working with his hands and being outdoors, which was perfect for working on farms. He worked for the Lotto Family Farm, Ossmann Family Farm, Vanden Wymelenberg Dairy and the Chervenka Family Farm. Nathan enjoyed trap shooting, he was a member of the Denmark Viking Trap Club, he enjoyed hunting, driving and pulling his John Deer tractor, his 4-wheeler, his truck and snowmobile. He loved helping others and was always willing to lend a hand and put others before himself. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Christy Chervenka, his siblings; Austin (Leah Wendricks) Alissa, and Tessa, grandma Janice Chervenka, aunts and uncles; Stevie (fiancée Keegan Engelbrecht) Chervenka, Leroy (Significant other, Tammy Goddard) Phillips, Cindy Schaaf, Gerald (Carrie) Brice and Dawn (Benjamin) Landt. Nathan is further survived by his girlfriend, McKenzie Wells his cousins; Dakota, Morgan, Alexandria, Connor and Luke, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends especially Marty (Heidi) Nowak, Shirran and Richard Rabenhorst, David, Marlene and Shane Brey, Joey, Theresa and Denis Lotto and family, Kim Miller-Carnes, and the entire family at the Maribel Sportsman Club, good friends Matt Ossmann, Camden Spielvogel, Braedyn Heezen, Jake Duescher and Ethan Wessley.
Preceding Nathan in death is his grandparents, Norbert Chervenka, Vernon Phillips, Sharon Brice, great grandparents; Joseph and Magdaline Chervenka, Elsie and Leonard Phillips, Harry and Janet Wendt and Donald and Marcella Brice.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Road R, Denmark from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, with a prayer service to follow at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave., Denmark from 11:00am until the time of service at noon with Pastor Laura Riemer officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee, Dr. Harker-Murray, Dr. Meyer, Pastor Laura Riemer, the entire Denmark Community and school district and staff as well as everybody who knew him.
