My son Nate lost the battle with demons but won the war with Eternal Peace.

Nathan Julius Owens passed away at the age of 43 on December 26, 2024, in Missoula, MT. He was born in Ogden, UT, on March 24, 1981 to Vern Lars Owens and Kathy Joan Blasko Owens. He was a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Nate lived in Ogden, UT, where he attended both Bonneville and Ogden High Schools and graduated in 1999. He served briefly in the US Navy. He was a Union Ironworker and also was a pipe welder, working in trades until moving to Montana in 2012. He loved being a rural Montanan and was an avid motorcyclist and loved 4x4 driving the mountains. He always enjoyed helping people in need and this virtue led him to serve as a structural firefighter with the Plains City Fire Department in Plains, MT.

He is survived by his children Kendra, Kyla, and Julius (JJ) of Layton, UT being raised by their adoptive parents, Stuart and Stacey Owens, his mother Joan Hutchison of Fremont, UT, brothers Stuart, Aaron of Fremont, UT and sisters Natalie of Helena, MT and Lisa Bell of Ogden, UT. He was preceded in death by grandparents Julius (Duke) and Fern Swaner Blasko and father Vern L. Owens. No official services will be held.

His final resting place will be in the Paradise, MT cemetery.
