It's with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Nathan Lane Veatch, 27, on Thursday, April 17th, 2025.
Born on April 18, 1997 in Nairobi, Kenya, Nathan moved to Florida in 2006 and then to Cleveland, MS, in 2016 to attend Delta State University. After graduating with a degree in Aviation Management, Nathan worked for Republic Airlines in Indianapolis, IN, FedEx in Memphis, TN and in December 2024, graduated with his Masters Degree in Global Supply Chain Management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Most recently, he was excited and looking forward to his new role with L3Harris Technologies as a Senior Procurement Associate.
Nathan had an infectious personality and never met a stranger. He was a friend to everyone; he was so kind and generous. No matter where he went, he always returned with a story of someone he'd met. He was incredibly ambitious and took challenges head on. He loved serving others and taking care of those closest to him. When Nathan was in the room, it was easy to smile.
Nathan is preceded in death by his mother, Sheila. He is survived by his father, Devan; brothers Sam (Heather) and Jack, and his two nephews, along with countless friends he met wherever he was. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Noblesville, IN. Donations in his memory can be made to New Life Home Trust. www.newlifehometrust.org

- [ ] I feel so lucky to have known Nathan. He was always so great to be around. From high school teammates goofing off at meets and practice. To keeping in touch after college and talking about aviation and our travels. I will truly miss Nathan. He was an amazing friend, had the brightest smile, and was so caring. I will carry his memory with me forever, he will be truly missed and I will never forget him.

I met Nathan while recruiting at Delta State University for FedEx. He was excited and enthusiastic about learning and furthering his career. We had a lot of laughs about various topics while he was at FedEx. I know you will miss him and your hearts are heavy with discomfort, sorrow, and grief, so I pray that peace will overtake you. Continue to think about the loving and fun memories shared with him and take solace in knowing Nathan was loved and respected by many.

I didn´t know Nathan personally, only in passing, but we went to the same high school and I never saw him without a smile on his face. A contagious smile. I only ever heard how kind and genuinely good he was, and from everything I have read, it seems like this is everyone´s universal experience with him. What a testament to him as a person. Sending my thoughts and love to all of his family and friends during this time.

I met Nathan at a few functions / gatherings revolving around St. Augustine High School. He was/is a friend of my daughter. The most impressive young man in her friend group. Heartfelt condolences to his family and all that knew and loved him. Peace.
