Neal P. O'Brien

Neal P. O'Brien, 78, of Troy, Ohio, formerly of Oneida, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at his home.
He was born on March 22, 1947, Plattsburgh, New York, the son of Bart E. and Marjorie I. (Harrison) O'Brien. He was a graduate of Oneida High School where he served as Student Council President from 1964-1965, and captain of the 1964 OHS Football team. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton.
He was formerly married to Teresa Dean O'Brien and later Jane O'Brien.
He became the manager of financial analysis and planning for General Electric. He was promoted to Finance Manager for General Electric. He also worked at Campbell-Dean Funeral Home where he was a funeral director. He later became the CFO for Thomson Consumer Electronics. He was later the owner of Road King Carriers.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oneida and Cazenovia, NY. He was a member of the Rotary Club. He served as a JA Advisor in Marion, IN, and was on the board of directors for the United Way in Troy, OH. He enjoyed sports, golfing, motorcycling, and was a Corvette owner.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer O'Brien, of Hartford, CT, and Kathleen O'Brien, of West Hartford, CT; one son, Neal (Leisha) O'Brien, Jr., of New Bedford, MA; one granddaughter, Mary O'Brien; two sisters, Elizabeth O'Brien, of E. Lansing, MI, and Carol (Buzz) Devan, of Watertown, NY; two nieces, Keri Devan, of Munnsville, and Kristen (Chris) DuFrain, of Schaghticoke, NY; one great niece, Norah DuFrain; and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 17, 2025 from the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main Street, Oneida with the Rev. Timothy Elmer, officiating.
