Neil R. Benoit

Neil Richard Benoit, 80 years old, of Beverly, passed away Wednesday morning, May 15, 2024, at Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly. Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on February 9, 1944, he was the son of the late Raymond L. Benoit and Katherine V. (McCathern) Benoit. Neil graduated from Southwest Texas State, which is now known as Texas State University, in 1966, with a bachelor's degree. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as an intelligence officer in the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. After his service in the Air Force Neil held various jobs in sales. Neil was an animal lover, especially dogs, he enjoyed trivia, and talking Politics.
He is survived by two daughters, Natalie (Benoit) Heim her husband Michael of Beverly, and Nikki Benoit of Miami; two grandchildren, Heather (Heim) Carter and her husband Nicholas, and Pierce Heim; one great-granddaughter Charlotte Carter; three sisters Elizabeth (Benoit) McMann and her husband Sean of Florida, Susan (Benoit) Smola of Ohio, and Alison Benoit of Ohio. Preceded in death, is his sister Mary Jane (Benoit) Henry. In addition, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
His funeral service will be at Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Tuesday, May 21st at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Contributions may be made in Neil's memory to the ASPCA. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com
