Neil Carron passed away on December 23, 2023 at the age of 77. Neil was the oldest of four children and grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After his service in the U.S. Army, he pursued a Master's Degree in computer science at The Ohio State University, where he met his wife, Marci. Marci appreciated that he was one of the few men with short hair (it was 1969). After graduation, Neil began working for Bank One where he stayed his entire career, settling in Westerville with Marci and his daughters, Julie and Bethany. In his spare time, Neil was an avid bowler, averaging in the 170s well into his 70s. Neil was a dedicated watcher of nearly all sports on TV and there wasn't a sport that he couldn't fall asleep to. He was known as the resident computer expert and would often help friends and family with computer issues. While Neil would never be known as the life of the party, he provided steady and strong support to his friends and family. He will be missed. Neil was preceded by his parents, Dr. Dean and Mildred Carron. He leaves behind his wife Marci Carron; daughters, Julie (Kevin) Braun and Bethany (Ben) Kinstlinger; brother, Dr. David (Marlene) Carron; sisters, Dr. Sue (Howard) Simon and Barbara (Howard) Goldman. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St., Columbus. Private family interment will follow. Shiva will be observed at the home of Neil and Marci Carron at 7:00pm, Thursday, December 28. Donations in Neil's memory may be made to Temple Beth Shalom (www.tbsohio.org) or the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate)
