Damian is preceded in death by his grandfather Roy Neal Chapman, and aunt Christine Jackson, and sister-in-law Amber Nicole Sayers.
He is survived by his son Dmitri Maeson Sayers, his mother Carmel Chapman Barnhill (Randall), father John Samuel Sayers III, grandparents Debra Keef Chapman, and John Samuel Sayers, Jr., great grandmother Arnetta Sayers, brothers John Samuel Sayers IV, John Wayne Davis ("Jacob"), and Bryan Michael Davis ("Hunter"), sisters Shelby Chevelle Barnhill, and Gracie Michelle Davis, step-siblings Randall Barnhill, Jr., Chelsey Barnhill, and Connor Barnhill, nephews Jace and Colten Sayers, his best friends Jacob Dunkling and Abigail Jones, as well as several aunts, uncles, friends, and family.
Damian was a dedicated father and uncle and loved to go everywhere with the kids.
Damian's family will be accepting visitors at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Adger Cemetery in Adger, Alabama.

As only a neighbor of Damian´s I got to witness what a great example of a father was. Damian was always with Dmitri, following him to his friends houses on our street & you not once would ever see him leaving his sons side. I would come home at times to see him & his son on our trampoline (they always had permission) but now it will always be a memory seeing their huge smiles. I pray over Dmitri & his family for such a saddening loss.
