Nell J. Dunlap

Nell Marie Dunlap, 74, of New Orleans, LA, passed away on December 22, 2025. Nell was born on December 24, 1950, in New Orleans, LA, to Dorina and Herbert James.

She was employed in the business field for many years. Nell will be remembered for her outgoing personality and her love of people. She was a selfless and generous person who possessed a strong sense of passion for her family and friends. Her impact on her family, friends and community will definitely be missed.

Nell is survived by her sons Keenan J. Dunlap, Kendall Dunlap, and Korey Dunlap and her grandchildren Kaegan Dunlap and Keenan Dunlap Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie L. Dunlap; her mother Dorina James Strickland; her father Herbert James; 2 brothers RJ James and Robert E. James; and 4 sisters Annie L. Mack, Juanita Lowe, Willie Mae Reed, and Ida Nell Jones.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday 12/29/25. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM, at Tharp Funeral Home 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie, LA 70001.
