We are saddened to announce the passing of Nelson T. Monroe Jr., a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. Nelson, born on March 31, 1950, passed away on July 23, 2024 at the age of 74.
Nelson's memory will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Betty Monroe, his children Bridgette Monroe, Brandon Monroe and his wife Tammie, and Ashley Behe. He was a proud grandfather to Conor, Abigail, Brandon II, Avery, Owen, Logan, Collin, and Makayla. Nelson also leaves behind his dear siblings Sharon Kelly, Donna Monroe, and Robert Monroe.
A public viewing to celebrate Nelson's life will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Road 21206.
In remembrance of Nelson, let us come together to honor his legacy and share stories of the wonderful individual he was. May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved and appreciated by all who knew him.
