Sunrise December 1, 1940 – Sunset January 26, 2025
On January 26, 2025, the world lost a truly extraordinary soul. Neta, aged 84, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and a life well-lived. Her infectious energy, compassionate heart, and unwavering dedication to her family were the hallmarks of her beautiful existence. She approached life with enthusiasm, wonder, and no fear.
Born on December 1, 1940, Neta was known for her boundless enthusiasm and zest for life. Whether she was playing softball, sharing a laugh with friends, or supporting her loved ones, her spirit shone brightly in everything she did. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generosity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was honored in 1973 as Moore, Oklahoma's "Woman of the Year" for her involvement in numerous civic and social activities. Her love of God and Church Family was unsurpassed. Neta and her husband Ken are faithful Christians and have been members of Moore Central Church of Christ since 1970.
Family was the cornerstone of Neta's life. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her love was a beacon of light, guiding and nurturing those around her. Neta married the love of her life, Ken, on July 6, 1962. Their daughter, Robin, was born exactly one year later and son, Bud, followed two years after.
She is survived by husband Ken, daughter Robin, her husband Steve, their children Brandi and TJ, TJ's wife Jordan and their son Shaun, son Bud his wife Kim, their children Calvin and MJ, brother Bob, sister Carolyn, and a multitude of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift, reminding us to embrace life with the same passion and warmth that she did.
Neta will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
Psalm 118:24 was Neta's favorite Bible verse, and the one that she lived by daily: "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
