Nicholas Thomas Green age 18 of Towson, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2026.

“Nicky”, as he was known to his loving family, was born on March 16, 2007 in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of Kristie McCormick and Thomas Green. He attended Riderwood Elementary and Dunbarton Middle School and was a graduate of the Park School of Baltimore where he thrived, finding his people. At the time of his passing, he was a student at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Nicky will always be remembered for his sweetness, kindness, liveliness, and sense of fun. Wherever he went, he brought smiles and laughter, playing board games like Risk, Terraforming Mars, and Ticket to Ride with family, cousins and Park friends. During quiet times he could be found curled up with a science fiction or fantasy novel (or of course staring at his phone). But soon he was up again, playing rec soccer and lacrosse or hiking, kayaking and camping with Boy Scouts. During school plays you could find him dressed in black adjusting the spots. On family vacations he raced his brother Kevin downhill on skis and marveled at the sights in Yellowstone (on his horse Duster), Alaska, Acadia, Iceland, Japan, Hawaii, the Galapagos Islands, and the Grand Canyon (making it from rim to bottom and back). In summer he rode the waves and rides at the Jersey Shore, filling up on caramel popcorn and Avalon Freeze. Adored by his 23 cousins, Nicky brought delight to family gatherings. He will forever be deeply missed and lives on in our hearts.

Remaining to cherish Nicky’s memory are his parents Kristie McCormick and Thomas Green, brother Kevin Green, grandmothers Marita Green and Martha McCormick.

Preceding Nicky in death are his grandfathers, William Green and Kevin McCormick.

A Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Friday, January 30th at the Church of the Nativity, Timonium, MD preceded by a visitation from 10:30 to noon at the church. A luncheon at Ryleigh’s Oyster House will follow. Memorial donations in memory of Nicholas T. Green may be sent to The Park School.
