Nicholas Scott Hamby

Nicholas "Niko" Scott Hamby Born October 28, 1987 at 10:26 pm, died unexpectedly May 1, 2025.
Nick was a compassionate man who felt life very deeply. He was very eclectic with interests and knowledge in so many niche and unique ways. Nick was an amazing artist, highly skilled in paper cutting techniques, making exquisite pieces of art depicting his Buddhist faith. Nick woke up each day fighting his hardest for a better life. His family is so proud of the strength he showed every day to overcome challenges he faced to grow spiritually and emotionally. Nick had a soft heart for children, especially those with disabilities, and saw the value in every one he met. He was looking forward to being an uncle and will be sorely missed by his niece.
Nick is survived by his beloved cat Cricket who chose him from all the people in the world, his mother and father Peggy and Rob Hamby, his brother Ross and sister in law Kayley, his upcoming niece Charlotte Nichole, his aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers. Many thanks to all the professionals who toiled on his behalf, your efforts are valued and appreciated.
The loss of Nick is unexpected and devastating. Nick found great peace in expanding his spirituality through Buddhism which helped him understand liberation from suffering on a path to enlightenment. We all hope that he has found the peace he learned through his daily meditation and spiritual journey towards enlightenment. May nirvana be yours sweet Nick.
Visitation Thursday May 8, 5:00 PM-6:00 PM. Ceremony following Buddhist tradition to follow. Private cremation ceremony will then be held. Black attire is traditional, please do not wear red.
In lieu of flowers, a gift toward the future education of the niece he so anticipated and loved before he even met her would be appreciated.
