Nicholas James Hanson, 18, passed away on Friday March 28, 2025, in South Bend.
Nicholas was born on August 31, 2006, to Jason Hanson and Kendra (Ankin) Hanson.
Nick was a man of quiet strength, undeniable intelligence, and effortless charm. Handsome and quick-witted, he had a way of making people laugh even in the toughest moments, always carrying himself with a cool, nonchalant confidence.
Nick was born August 31st, 2006 at memorial hospital. He's always the light in any room and there was never a dull moment when he was around. Nick truly loved making people laugh, especially his family. Nick loved basketball his favorite team being the Chicago Bulls with Zach Lavine and Derrick Rose being his favorite players. His favorite baseball team is the Chicago White Sox and he was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He felt most free when he was playing sports such as basketball and football and playing video games. He once kicked a football in a store because he couldn't contain his excitement. His favorite video game is NBA2k. He followed every season of the game of NBA2k and loved reconstructing the team as a manager.
Nick always wanted to own a Cadillac and he loved taking photos whether he liked to admit it or not. Nick also attended Mishawaka High School where Nick had so many best friends that were like brothers since elementary school. He is one of the funniest and most genuine persons we have ever met and he was a man of few words so when he did speak it was always meaningful. Nick had a clear vision for his future- he aspired to become an electrician and work in a union. Not a day will go by that he's not missed. His presence, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Jason Hanson and Kendra Hanson, Grandma; Judy Ankin; his siblings; Jason Hanson, Justina Hanson, Brandon Hanson and Mariah Hanson.
