Nicholas C. Kokinacis

Nicholas Kokinacis Obituary Nicholas C. Kokinacis, of Rowley, passed away August 7, 2023. He was born in Lowell on July 23, 1939. He was the son of the late Alexander & Elaine (Galanis) Kokinacis.
Nicholas was a loving husband of Laura A. Balser, with whom he shared fifty-five years of marriage.
He was the father of Christine Monarrez, and her spouse, Joe, of Buckeye, Arizona; Son, Peter Kokinacis, and his two children, Alana & Rocco Kokinacis.
Graduating from Ipswich High School, Nicholas was immediately signed to play on the Washington Senators Farm team, the Chattanooga Lookouts, where he played for several years. Later, Nicholas would go on to be inducted into the Ipswich High School Hall of Fame in 2016. Sports were definitely his passion throughout his life and always enjoyed watching others play when he wasn't himself.
Nicholas is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Richard Balser.
He is survived by; brother, Jeff Kokinacis, and his spouse, Fran, residents of Desert Hot Springs, CA.; sister, Kathy Kokinacis, and her partner, Robert Wisner, residents of Kingsport, TN.; sisters-in-law, Woodie Surpitski, and spouse, John; Donna Goulet, and her spouse, Alan. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with his godson, Colby Hetuar.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 11, 2023, from 4 - 8 p.m., at F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Liturgy on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 10 a.m., at Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Greek Orthodox Church, 8 Lafayette Road, Ipswich, MA. Interment will follow at Rowley Burial Ground.
In lieu of flowers, the Kokinacis Family requests that contributions be made in Nicholas' honor to Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Greek Orthodox Church, or Care Dimensions Hospice.
Arrangements are entrusted to F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home.
