Staff Sergeant Nicholas Paul Rindt, 44, of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly November 5, 2025. Nick was born February 24, 1981 in West Allis and lived in Mukwonago. In April of 1993 he moved to Fort Atkinson and graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 2000. He joined the United States Marine Corp and served with the VMFA (AW)-224 as an Aviation Electrician maintaining F/A-18s and the VMFA (AW)-312 in Beaufort, South Carolina. His service sent him to 27 different countries and deployments, some of which were on the USS Enterprise as he lightly coined his "cruises". He also became an expert shooter in rifle and pistol. After 13 years of loyal service, he was honorably discharged and moved to New Berlin, Wisconsin to be close to family.
In the fall of 2019, Nick met Allison Horn through a family member who played in Orchestras with Allison. Nick went to every concert, was enchanted watching Allison play, and fell in love. They married November 8, 2020 and solidified their family when Allison adopted Amie and Sam. The dream of country life lead them to purchase ten acres between Necedah and New Lisbon. Nick set up a gun range, trails around the property, did woodworking to the inside of the house, and also proudly showcased a tractor in the front yard that belonged to his late grandfather Harvey Rindt.
Nick will forever be remembered for the love of his family, loyalty to the United States Marine Corp, dedicated firearms enthusiast, his Camaro "Max", his woodworking skills, and his ability to make everyone laugh.
Nick is survived by his wife, Allison (Horn), daughter Amie and son Samuel; his parents Scott and Shirley Rindt of New Berlin; his in-laws Aaron and Nance Horn of Necedah; his two sisters Erin Baker of Wales and Jennifer Moston of Delafield; his three step-siblings Melissa (Fred) Gaylord of Stevens Point, Sara Martin of Franklin, and Andrew (Dana) Bach of New Berlin; his sister-in-law Mindy (Angelica) Horn of Horicon; his sixteen nieces and nephews; uncles, aunts, cousins; his beloved dogs Butters and Steve; cat Kamino; and fellow United States Marines.
Nick was predeceased in death by his grandparents Harvey and Joan Rindt of East Troy, Russell and Alice Shumway of Brookfield, Martin Gallik of Waukesha, Jean Gallik of Fort Atkinson, William and Doris Bolingbroke of Oconomowoc, Allen and Shirley Horn of Oconomowoc; his Uncle Brian of New Berlin; and fellow United States Marines.
A celebration of life will be held at Aud Mar Banquet Hall S79W15851 Aud Mar Dr, Muskego, WI 53150 (Above Bass's Bay Brewhaus) on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Visitation at 10:00 AM with Military honors at 12:00 PM. Luncheon to follow until 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the Blake Matthew Mindful Memorial Foundation, formed in honor of Nick's cousin Blake. Nick attended every Tinman event with pride and steadfast support, standing with family in the mission to bring hope and help to those facing quiet battles. Though Nick carried his struggles in silence, as so many do, we honor his life by extending compassion to others, so no one walks alone in their hardest moments. May gifts given in Nick's memory shine light where it is needed most and continue the legacy of love shared between these two cousins, now remembered together. https://www.blakestinman.com/donate
