Nicholas Daniel Sutherlin

Nicholas Daniel Sutherlin, 23, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa. No services are currently planned.
Nick was born at 10:55 in the morning on May 24, 2001, to Alonza Kelly and Justin Sutherlin. He spent his first ten years living in Boone until his family moved to Pleasantville. Nick attended Pleasantville high School, graduating with the Class of 2019. After high school Nick found his passion on cars as well as learning how to restore them. He worked for several mechanic shops and tire shops in Des Moines, Iowa.
He enjoyed listening to rock, hip-hop music and going to the races. He enjoyed attending dirt track racing and Knoxville Nationals. His favorite was being able to participate and help with the pit crew experiencing the competitions where racing was involved such as novice RC racing, quad racing and go carting. Nick had also just discovered his talent for photography and had plans to attend community college.. Nick is survived by his parents, Alonza (Jason Leerhoff) Kelly and Justin (Brittney Bishop) Sutherlin; half siblings: Jaleigh Leerhoff, Dayson Leerhoff, Jaya Garvin, Gannon Sutherlin, Ronan Sutherlin, and Natalie Bishop; stepsister, Alayna Bishop; grandparents, Debra Gilchrist and Rita Teamer; and many aunts, uncles, numerous cousins as well as friends.
