Leetonia - Nicole Shacklock, age 39, of Leetonia, passed away suddenly from a medical emergency on Monday, October 20, 2025, at her home.
She was born on November 24, 1985, in Youngstown, the daughter of Beverly Shacklock.
Nicole was a graduate of Struthers High School and MCCTC. She received her LPN from Youngstown State University and was currently working at Windsor House at Parkside in Columbiana. Nicole will be remembered as an outgoing woman who had a passion for spending time outdoors. She liked everything and anything that took place outside. She really enjoyed attending festivals, loved going to the zoo and always looked forward to the seasonal holidays. Mostly, Nicole loved being a mother. She was completely devoted to her family and absolutely adored her to children.
She is survived by her mother, Beverly Shacklock of Struthers; her significant other, John Arter of Leetonia; daughter, Vada Prasinos of Leetonia and her son, Thomas Arter of Leetonia. Also surviving are her two brothers, Allen Shacklock of Struthers, and Eddie Adams of Liberty.
Her family will be conducting a celebration of her life with details to be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
