Nigel Scott Walker, Jr., (Scott) passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, due to complications from colon surgery. Scott was born October 16, 1990, in Dallas, Texas to parents Debbie and Nigel Walker. Scott was the younger brother to Michelle Walker.

Scott was a loving person full of life. He enjoyed all sports, especially soccer. At Austin High School, he enjoyed soccer, band, and choir. After his brain injury on January 27, 2008, he was able to earn his high school diploma from Austin High School. Scott also enjoyed music, riding his bike, being outdoors, and spending time with friends. He was a very active member of First Baptist Church, Austin where he enjoyed the youth group activities (thank you Kevin Mitchell!).

Scott spent 14 years unable to take care of himself. He endured endless surgeries and medical issues. Through it all he maintained his love for others, his positive attitude, his quick wit, his amazing sense of humor, and his overall joy for life.

The family wants to thank the many, many people that have helped them through this journey. These people include the doctors, nurses, caregivers, hospital staffs, and therapists, as well as the numerous family and friends who never stopped praying and being there for Scott and his family.

Debbie and Nigel especially want to thank Diane Williams who became Scott's "other mother" as well as his frequent "partner in crime". The family was so blessed to have someone that loved Scott as if he were her own son. There are no words to thank Diane enough for her never ending love and dedication to Scott and his family.

Scott is survived by his parents, Debbie and Nigel Walker; his sister, Michelle Walker of Dallas, Texas; his grandmother, Jo Nell Trumble of Mexia, Texas; his grandparents Shirley and Derek Walker of Yorkshire, England; his aunts and uncles; Joanna and Wesley Willard, and Jill and Steve Hill; cousins Hannah and Jacob Willard, and Tanner Hill.

A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church of Austin on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ATX Mental Health Fund or First Baptist Church of Austin.

Good morning Walker family. Our condolences for your loss but praises that Scott is at home with our Lord. He endured so much after his incident but most of all he had your live and support through it all. He is whole again and able to celebrate life with Jesus and someday we will all rejoice together in that heavenly choir. God bless you all and keep the faith through these days.
