It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nikki Shalyn Mulanax, age 36, of
Pampa, Texas, whose radiant life was tragically cut short on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She now rests in the loving and peaceful embrace of Jesus.
Born on December 5, 1988, in Pampa, Nikki was the cherished daughter of Travis Marcum and Shelli Brittenham. She grew up in her hometown, attending Pampa schools and building a legacy of kindness, hard work, and compassion. Nikki was determined and ambitious, recently embarking on a journey to earn her Criminal Justice degree through online courses-a testament to her drive for personal growth and service of helping others.
At sixteen, Nikki met Benjamin Mulanax, the love of her life. Though it took time for them to realize their destiny together, their friendship blossomed into a beautiful romance, and on June 29, 2021, they exchanged vows, solidifying a partnership grounded in love and friendship.
Nikki's talents were abundant; she was truly blessed with a voice as angelic as her spirit and a heart as generous as it was resilient. Dreaming big, she never hesitated to put in the work necessary to achieve her goals. While she embraced her feminine side, Nikki was equally at home rolling up her sleeves, tackling carpentry projects, and embracing new challenges with determination and grit.
A passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, Nikki treasured the moments spent cheering on the "Boys" with her dad, Jim. She had a deep love for her dogs and a boundless capacity to put others before herself. Nikki was never too proud to lend a hand, nor too shy to seek help when she needed it. Her inner and outer beauty shone brightly, touching the lives of all fortunate enough to know her. Even at the age of 9, she is the one who wanted so selflessly to donate her sister's organs, resulting with a young boy, Dom, in receiving Ashlyn's heart.
Despite facing profound loss early in life-losing more than most could imagine-Nikki did have a darkness and internal battles to overcome, but Nikki did not allow sorrow to extinguish her light. Instead, she transformed her pain into a source of empathy, forgiveness, and love, spreading the grace of God through her actions and encouragement.
Nikki is preceded in death by her biological father, Travis Marcum; her dad, James Hayes; and her older sister, Ashlyn Marcum.
She is lovingly remembered by those she leaves behind: her devoted husband, Benjamin Mulanax of Pampa; her mother, Shelli Hayes of Pampa; three sons, Nash Wilson and Jett Wilson of White Deer, and Easton Morgan of Oklahoma; her grandmother, Debra Barnes of Pampa; step-grandfather, Steve Chilton of Pampa; grandmother, Vivian McCraw of Pampa and her nephew, Ryan Mulanax. Nikki's memory will also live on in the hearts of her many friends and extended family whose lives she deeply touched.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 3rd, from 3 until 8pm and again Monday from 9am until 2pm in the Winegeart Funeral Home Serenity Chapel.
Celebration of Life Funeral services will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 4, 2025, in the Winegeart Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, with Chaplain Nelson Feliciano officiating. The family has entrusted her cremation care to Winegeart Funeral Home.
