Nora was born in Detroit on January 7, 1930, the daughter of Ettore and Angeline Guerrieri and stepdaughter of Frances Guerrieri. After graduation from Dearborn Fordson High School, Nora went to work for an accounting firm in Dearborn while taking night classes. She married the love of her life, Joseph Del Morone, on July 10, 1954, in Dearborn. Together they raised a strong family through their compassion, love and integrity. Nora dedicated her life to raising her family while continuing to work side by side with her husband at their pizzerias for over 40 years. Not one for sitting around, Nora became a receptionist and exercise instructor at the Krapohl Senior Center later in life. In her spare time, she loved being with family and passing down traditions, walking the beaches, traveling, reading, and volunteering with the Swartz Creek Women's Club, Krapohl Senior Center and McLaren Hospital Auxiliary. Nora was a faithful member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Nora loved her children, but she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Angela Del Morone and Tina Marie (Mark) Miller; son, Joseph (Jennifer) Del Morone; grandchildren, Craig Miller, Eric (Emily) Del Morone, Tyler (Desiree) Notter, Alicia (Alex) Morhaim, Kevin Miller; great grandchildren, TJ, Vanessa, Charlie, Lucy and Hayley; brother, John (Beth) Guerrieri; sister-in-law, Millie Guerrieri; many other loving family members and wonderful friends, especially those Ladies in Red and the Movin' and Groovin' gang. She touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her kind heart and compassion for everyone she met and gentle spirit.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Del Morone; son, Chris Del Morone; parents, Ettore and Angeline Guerrieri; stepmother, Frances Guerrieri; brothers, Ned Guerrieri and Baby Natalino; and half-sister, Virginia.
Those desiring may make contributions to Krapohl Senior Center or St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
