Norbert A. Swiecichowski "Nubs" age 90 of Kimberly and formerly of Menasha passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Nubs was born at home in Menasha on November 18, 1934, son of the late Aloysius and Veronica (Jankowski) Swiecichowski. He grew up in Menasha and graduated from Menasha High School in 1952. After graduating, he went to work at Banta Corporation as a typesetter. He was drafted into the Army in 1959 and honorably discharged in 1961. Nubs worked at Banta's until 1975 and then worked at Laemmrich Funeral Home as an Assistant Funeral Director until he retired in May 2009. He was an active member of the Menasha Lions Club for many years and was the recipient of the highest honor, The Melvin Jones Award. He was also a member of the Menasha Knights of Columbus Council 1838. Nubs married Diane Bricko on February 26, 1988 at the Candlelight Chapel in Las Vegas with the marriage being blessed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha on April 19, 2009.
Nubs was the ultimate sports fan from the Packer's Ice Bowl and the Mud Bowl with San Francisco. He also enjoyed the Brewers, golf, attending the Indianapolis 500 with his son Kurt, NASCAR, bowling, and fishing and deer hunting with his brothers. There were many trips made to Florida in the winter and for five years he and Diane would spend three months there. Nubs loved going to Las Vegas and just recently said he would like to go one more time. There were also many beach vacations in Mexico and the Bahamas. He was always up for some fun and a good time enjoying his bowling league nights (proud seeing his scores in the local newspaper), playing sheepshead and cribbage, and his bag of candies while traveling. Nubs was a loving, caring and generous man who loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed giving back to his community.
Nubs is survived by his wife Diane, his children: Kurt (Janet) Swiecichowski, Ted (Lalita) Swiecichowski, Laura (Theresa) Georgia; step-children: Curt Marsh and Leah Marsh (and fiance' Teru Matsuoka); grandchildren: Luke Swiecichowski and Michelle (Mo) Beckett; step-grandchildren: Cameron O'Connor(Kyra) and Kylie O'Connor, Jordan and Bailey Marsh and step great-grandchildren: Noah, Jace and Carson O'Connor and Kassidy. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law Vernon Bricko, Leo (Barb) Reigel and his sisters-in-law Lucy Swiecichowski and Mary Swiecichowski along with many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his former wife Karen Swiecichowski, his "sister from another mother" Trude Jacobs and good friend Mary Ellen Knecht.
