Noreen A Wolf

Noreen Alta Sachs Wolf, 90, died Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Kennybrook Village in Grimes, IA. Noreen Alta Wolf was born December 23, 1931 to Arthur and Edith Sachs in Fayette County, IA. During school, she was involved with 4-H and marching band. On December 8, 1953 Noreen married Ralph Wolf in Oelwein, IA.
In 1967, they moved to Granger, IA where she was a stay at home mom until 1975 when she began working part time at Rodeway Inn. After two years, she returned to being a stay at home mom and enjoyed gardening, camping, baking, and raising animals. In May 1988, they moved to Homer, AK and from March of 1990 until 1998 she worked as a housekeeper at Land's End Resort where they enjoyed fishing. Noreen moved back to Iowa in March 2014, and lived at Kennybrook Village until her death.
Noreen was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Edith Sachs; her in-laws; her husband Ralph; and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her sister Kaye Sadler of Waverly, IA; daughter Debra Squires of Des Moines; son DeWayne Wolf of Des Moines; daughter Valerie Wolf of Grimes; grandsons, Tom Wolf of Des Moines and Jacob Wolf of Hills, IA; granddaughter Alexis Copeland of Adel; great-granddaughter Harper Wolf of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, July 12 at Iles Westover Chapel with her funeral beginning at 11 a.m. She will be interred at Iowa Veterans Cemetery at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
