Norine (Nee Schude) Zaccone 92, of McHenry passed away peacefully August 16, 2024 at Alden Terrace Nursing Home in McHenry. She was born October 31, 1931 to Joseph and Josephine Schude. Norine and her husband Chuck met in line at a movie cinema. It was love at first for both of them. They married two years later, after Chuck's service in the Marines.
She was a wonderful wife and homemaker. She enjoyed life to the fullness with her family. She enjoyed traveling, square dancing, bowling and a talent for all kinds of crafts. She was the kind of mother that would play in the snow with her children, making snow angels and snow sculptures and yearly ice-skating rinks in the driveway. She enjoyed being a girl scout leader, teaching her children to be well mannered, creative and domestic engineers. There was a time she let us raise a duck and another time a baby lamb and we lived in a subdivision.
Norine is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, 5 children Susan (Roger) Baxter, Jeff Zaccone, Peggy (Don) Larson, Brad (Linda) Zaccone, Donna (Jim) Koestler. She was an involved Grandmother to 15 and 22 Great Grandchildren; Sally Bender (Great Grand-Colton), Toni (Jeff) Baumann (Great Grand-Abigail, Jenna and Gaven, Patti Curtright-Toby (Great Grand-Emma and Allie, Andy Bender (Great Grands Taylor and Alisa), Jell Bender (Great Grand Ryder), Jason Zaccone (Great Grand Olivia), Wyndi Schubring (Great grands Alexia and Paige), Amy (Bobby) Brooks, Jarett Zaccone (Great Grand Spencer), Katie (Seth) Braden (Great Grands Evelyn and Harrison), Bradley Zaccone, Michael Bender, Andrea (Ronnie) Kehl (Great Grand Madelyn, Angela (Dan) Schliesmann ( Great Grands Kaira, Levi, Maeva, Nora, Oziah and Petra, Danielle Zaccone and step Grandchildren Peter and Kim Larson.
A Celebration of Life will be held September 14, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a 12:30 pm Service at Northern Illinois Funeral Services, Inc., 31632 N. Ellis Drive, Unit 209, Volo, Il 60073.
