It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Mae McFadden on January 15th, 2025, with her children by her side at the age of 86, born on 1/30/1938.
Norma was Predeceased by her parents John & Laneta McFadden, sisters, Janet Hadamik and Betty Knox, brother, Donald McFadden and son John Parker as well as her soul mate of many years Walt Gontesky.
She is Survived by her children, Ida Sargeant, Amy Barnes (Bob), Jean Keating, Ed Parker (Lori). Grandchildren Kristena Barnes, Brandi Kamansky, John Parker Jr, Dave Darrah and Aaron Sargeant, great grandchildren, Nephew and Nieces. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Crocheting,
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the excellent care and compassion our mother received from the Nursing staff and aides who cared for and loved her, at UHS Senior living Center at Ideal, Daffodil Court We will never forget your support and kindness.
Per her request there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers consider making a donation in her memory to Guthrie Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Vestal Rd Vestal Ny, 13850, Parkinsons Foundation or Broome County Humane Society.
