Norma Lynn Rains
November 27th 1948 - August 10th 2024
Norma Lynn Rains (75) passed away in her home Saturday August 10th, reuniting with the love of her life, Donny. She spent her last days surrounded by love from her girls and so many other's.
Preceded in death by her parents Randall and Elva Turner, her husband Donald Rains, and all her siblings. Norma has surely been embraced by many she missed dearly.
Survived by "her girls"; Daughter: Tresha Anderson, Granddaughter: Samantha Orr (Trevor), and Great-Granddaughter: Chloe Orr. Also survived by 3 nieces, their families, and so many who came to know her as "grandma", a caregiver to all.
Norma was passionate in all she did. In her youth - she enjoyed teaching the art of ceramics. Her love for racing was strong during her days at Suntana Raceway, where her and (Donny) thrived. She loved her job at Woodscape of Utah. Rain, snow, shine or sickness she did not want to miss work. Her work family had a big place in her heart. As a homemaker, crafter, caregiver, pet lover, she gave life 100% of herself. Some of her fondest memories included hitting the freeway for that two hour stretch to Wendover to win big! Never without a Diet Coke and a smile is how she lived her incredible life. Known for that wild red hair, spunky yet positive attitude, love and respect for all, she was truly one of a kind. Beautiful inside and out.
Please join us to gather and honor Norma with a celebration of life - held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at Jenkins-Soffe Memorial Center at 1007 S Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan UT 84095. 5:00pm-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, we are asking family and friends to write their favorite memory of her - something the family can look back on whenever they need a smile.
