Norma B. Randolph, 88, of Freehold passed away on July 11, 2022 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel Township. She was born in Lakewood and was a lifelong Freehold resident.
Norma was educated at the Court Street School and graduated from Freehold High School in 1952 where she was a majorette, a member of the journalism club, and the school orchestra.
She attended Brookdale Community College, Lincroft where she studied paralegal studies and criminal justice.
She previously was employed by Anti Poverty Programs, Monmouth County MCAP and Checkmate, Inc.
She was a member and past president of the Freehold Branch of the N.A.A.C.P., National Welfare Rights Organization, a board member of the Monmouth County Mental Health Board, member of the Borough of Freehold Zoning Board of Adjustment, Freehold Borough Citizens Participation, and a counselor for the United Black Women's Organization.
She was a member of the Borough of Freehold Human Relations Committee and the Monmouth County Human Relations Commission.
She was awarded the Community Service Award from Bell Labs Project in 1982, the N.J. State Federation of Colored Clubs Community Service Award in 1983, the Rock Hudson Community Service Award in 1982 and was an organizer of the Freehold Marching Youth Organization
She was predeceased by her children, Barbara Perry, Brigitte S. Randolph, and Eugene B. Randolph; a grandson, Zaidis Perry; her parents, Augustus "Guggy" and Estelle A. Wright Lewis, and a brother, Danny Lewis.
Surviving are a son, Rodney G. Randolph; two sisters, Carol Weber and Augustine "Tina" Willis; her grandchildren, Gerod Howard, Zuhairah, Ziyadah and Zurinah Perry, Robert, Jr., Daniel, Ikarii, Isis, Ileiyah, Iyanah, Germaine, Rashawn, Keiana and Elexis Randolph; and many great grandchildren.
The viewing will be held at the New Beginnings Agape Christian Center, 133 Throckmorton Street, Freehold on Friday, July 22 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.

Grandma,
Thank you! For all the memories, Thank you for your "Love", and being their for us, good and bad times. Thank you for teaching us to hold on to "God", because you knew when everything around us failed his "Love" would live on.

Grandma your heart was big, and shoes where too big too fill. I am at peace knowing that your at home with all our falling ones!
