Norman Charles Brooks Sr.

Mr. Norman Charles Brooks, Sr., 82, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 1 PM in the Winterville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5 to 7 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Enichement will be private.
Norman was a graduate of Lyndon Institute in Vermont, and worked at Vermont American for 44 years. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and bird watching. He loved to cook, paint, travel, dine out, and play cards and board games. And, he loved coaching baseball.
He was a hard-working family man who was a devoted husband, father, and friend.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Blanche Brooks; brothers, Ronald Brooks, Francis Brooks, and Raymond Brooks.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Brooks; daughter, Crystal Brooks Fix and husband, Matthew of Grimesland;
son, Norman C. Brooks, Jr. and wife, Stephanie of Greenville; grandchildren, Trey Brooks and wife, Hailey of Harlem, Georgia, and Lauren Taylor of Swindon, United Kingdom; sister, Gloria LaCourse of Bradford, Vermont; brothers, Larry Brooks of Lyndonville, Vermont, and Donald Brooks of Ayden, North Carolina.
