Norman R. Reinke, Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Friday, July 4, 2025, at Edgewood Assisted Living. Age 91 years. Son of the late Norman C. and Ruth L. Catterfeld) Reinke, Norman was born August 16, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Carol R. Rikey, his loving wife of 62 years, on October 12, 1957. She predeceased him March 24, 2020. Norman was a pattern maker at Grey Iron Foundry. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith, Kochville Lions Club, Saginaw Field and Stream and Friends of the Library. He enjoyed Tiger Baseball, fishing trips, The Farm, any type of adventure, and especially his family, which was the joy of his life.
Surviving to cherish his memory are two sons and two daughters, Robert and Denise Reinke, Catherine and Kevin Kerns, John Reinke, Lynne and Randall Groom; Grandpa Tee-Tee to his grandchildren, Patrick (Stacy) Kerns, Garrett (Kaylee) Kerns, Dylan Reinke, Justin (Megan) Kerns, Amanda (Jared) Fulton, Bryan Kerns, Daniel (Lindsey) Groom, Dalton Reinke, and Jacob Groom; nine great-grandchildren, Sullivan Kerns, Cashel Kerns, Hanson Fulton, Rory Kerns, Rowan Kerns, Lochlan Kerns, Brynn Fulton, Fallon Kerns and Sutton Kerns; two brothers, Ralph Reinke and Charles (Bettie) Reinke; many nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas (Karen) Reinke; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Reinke, Eddis Tear, Thomas Tear.
Honoring Mr. Reinke's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Norman's Life will be announced later. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Zauel Memorial Library or Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy.
