Norman Dale Voyles, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully at home on his family's farm Saturday, September 13, 2025.

He was born Monday, October 4, 1937 to the late Albert J. and Pauline (Darrell) Voyles in Martinsville.

Norman was a graduate of Martinsville High School and served his country in the Indiana National Guard for 6 years. Norman served in county government for 32 years, first as a County Councilman, then as a County Commissioner. Norman also served on many Morgan County boards and groups over the years including the Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation District, the Morgan County Farm Bureau Co-Op, and the South Central Indiana REMC. He was past president of the Morgan County Farm Bureau, Inc. and sold Pioneer brand seed for many years. When his sons were in elementary school, Norman enjoyed being a CubMaster for the Cub Scouts Pack at Poston Road school. He was a devoted member of Salem Baptist Church. Norman was a proud, hard-working farmer who loved living and working on his family farm. He leaves a lasting legacy of hard work and devotion to others for his family to carry on.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann "Bobbi" (Goss) Voyles who he married October 12, 1957; brother, Darrell K. Voyles (Virginia); sons, Norman Voyles, Jr. (Jana), Albert James "Jim" Voyles (Anna), Eric T. Voyles (DeeAnn); grandchildren, Kyle Voyles (Chelsea), Megan Voyles, Zachary Voyles (Sarah), Maggie Danner (Edward), Devon Johnson, Courtney (C.J.) Smith; great grandchildren, Miles, Drake, Josie, and Jacob Voyles and Joey and Charlotte Danner.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert and Pauline; infant sister, Corinne Voyles.

Visitation is 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Service for Norman will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Chaplain Mike Ellis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in his name, to Morgan County Farm Bureau, Incorporated.
