Loving mother, nannie, sister, and aunt, Paula Jo Cramer, 63, a lifelong resident of Morgan County, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, at the IU Health Morgan Hospital Emergency Room with loved ones by her side.

Paula was born on Wednesday, July 25th, 1962, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late James Linden "J.L." Barnett and Juanita (Burden) Barnett. She was a proud graduate of Martinsville High School, Class of 1981.

Over the years, Paula worked at several places, retiring from Cook Medical in Bloomington. She had also been employed at Save-A-Lot in Martinsville, Paragon Elementary School, and the former family business, Barnett Lumber in Paragon.

Family meant everything to Paula. She treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and late parents. She found joy in simple pleasures-golf cart rides, attending festivals, decorating for the holidays, gardening, and canning and she adored her beloved dog, Oreo.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Savannah Cramer and Cheyenne Cramer (Jazman), both of Martinsville; her former husband and friend, David Cramer of Martinsville; brother, Allen Barnett of Martinsville; sisters, Charlotte Schwab (David) of Martinsville and Margie Guy (John) of Paragon; sister-in-law, Carol Barnett of Kentucky; her cherished grandchildren, Everett Colwell, Irie Cramer, and Kaeshawn and Jazlynn Clark; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her brother, James "J.P." Barnett, and her faithful dog, Oreo.

In accordance with Paula's wishes her earthly remains will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, September 11th, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A time of sharing and remembrance will begin at 6:00 p.m., immediately following the visitation at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home or to Paula's family to assist with final expenses.
