Wayne was a skilled mechanic all of his life. He was the proud owner of Wayne Foster Transmission Service for over 50 years. He was very well known in Midwest drag race circles building drag race cars and motors.
He is survived by two sons: Randy Foster and Rick Foster both of Jefferson City; one daughter: Rhonda (Christopher) Mertens of Williamsburg, Virginia; granddaughters, Ashley (Ronnie) Ross of Cincinnati, OH and Shelby Mertens of Williamsburg, Virginia; and great grandchildren, Haylee and Elijah Ross.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal services held. Burial will be private for the family in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
Arrangements for Mr. Foster are under the direction of TYLER M. WOODS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, 611 E. Capitol Ave. Jefferson City, Missouri 65101. (573) 636-2424.

Mr. Wayne I´ll never forget you, brother. I started buying Dodge parts from you when I was 16 years old. I´m now 62. I´ve bought everything in the world from your heads. Convertors gears, body parts spanner parts camshaft I mean everything Mopar only though I even bought one old dart to fill it rack for going through the lights, and she turned sideways and rolled in all kind of stuff Watch your hemi motor you had in the black dart while my son didbut I told him about it being for sale. I used to come up and argue and carry on with you. I felt like he was my other dad for a while. I miss our conversations already. You keep the Mopar running hot up there for me and drag strips are gonna look cool with gold.
Here is my Mopar tattoos Mr. Wayne I hope you like them. See you in heaven brother much love.
