Nuvia J. Ventura Cortez

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nuvia J. Ventura Cortez, a devoted daughter, Sister, beloved Aunt, and a beacon of love and light to all who knew her. Nuvia aka Joy, age 23, passed away on August 26, 2023.
Born on February 14, 2000, in Georgia, Nuvia was the daughter of Alicia Cortes and Fredi Ventura. Also preceding Nuvia in death was her beloved grandmother Nubia Ventura, her protective brother, Marco Ventura
Described as feisty, smart, ambitious, easy to love, and a heck of a lot of fun to be around, Nuvia brought unparalleled energy and warmth to every room she entered. She was the life of the party and a true joy to all fortunate enough to cross her path.
She found joy in her role as a Project Coordinator and mostly her role as an aunt to her nieces and nephews, Isabella Sobkta, Ayleen Ventura, Analicia Cortes, Arielly Torres, Matthew Torres, Camila Cortes, Gabriela Cortes, Natalia Cuellar, & Edan Torres.
Nuvia had a knack for solving problems. Nuvia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; talking to friends and family, shopping at local TJ Maxx, Marshalls & Ross department stores, building legos, enjoying a very good cup of coffee, cruising through the city of Atlanta, spending quality time with her family. Nuvia had an uncanny ability to reach people deeply and positively.
Nuvia was truly one of a kind, characterized by her honesty and straightforwardness. She had a remarkable ability to speak her mind and let you know exactly where you stood, earning her respect and admiration from all who knew her. Her thoughtfulness shone through her dedication to buying gifts for every occasion. Her gestures served as a reminder that she carried her loved ones in her heart and wanted them to feel cherished, and they always did.
Visitation to celebrate the beautiful life of Nuvia J. Ventura Cortez will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. - to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Peachtree Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved brother.
