Funeral services celebrating the life of Ola Mae McGee, 83, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with Pastor Ottis Lenoir officiating. The interment will follow immediately after at New Hope Cemetery in Choudrant, Louisiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 16, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Ola Mae was born on October 31, 1940, in Downsville, Louisiana and passed away on August 13, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.
She was a devoted wife and mother who spent countless hours making her house a home and taking care of her family. She loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian woman. She was always involved in her church ministry and eager to share her faith and help those in need. Juett and Ola Mae loved to travel and camp in their RV, making memories together.
Ola Mae is preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years. Juett E. McGee; parents, Elijah Betts Bryan and Mary Ammon Bryan; daughter, Debra Ann McGee; brothers, Elvis Bryan, Irvin Bryan, Vestor Bryan, Virgil Bryan, and Max Bryan; sisters, Marie Adkins, Julia Alford, Mary Massart, Ruth Phillips, and Judy Martin; and sister-in-law, Bonnie McGee Goodman Brooks.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Terri McGee Jordan and her husband, Gene; son, Greg McGee and his wife, Kristie; grandchildren, Josh Jordan, Joe Jordan and his wife, Crystal, Kaleb McGee, Danielle Jordan, and Kenzie McGee; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Jordan, Alexis Jordan, Destiny Jordan, and Victoria Jordan; sister, Faye Lanier and her husband, Rev. Larry; brother, Rev. Jesse Bryan and his wife, Beverly; sister-in-law, Shellia McGee Dean and her husband, Joe; brother-in-law, Hadley Martin and his wife, Ann; special friends, JeyLynn Perry and Charlee Perry; friend and caregiver, Cindy Lyday; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
The pallbearers will be Gene Jordan, Josh Jordan, Joe Jordan, Kaleb McGee, Joshua Chavez, and Greg Dison.
