Olen "Bubba" Brake, Jr., 77, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born August 8, 1948, at Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Olen Brake, Sr. and Virginia (Martin) Brake.
Olen graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1975. He worked as a Case Manager Supervisor for Maryland Correctional Institute for over 25 years before his retirement in 2012. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Nebraska University Football. In his younger years, Olen enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lover of classic movies from the early 1900's. Olen loved to travel. He was fun-loving and enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.
Olen is survived by his sister: Sylvia Brake; nieces: Jessica O'Connor (Daniel) and Amanda Arsenault (Michael); nephew: Adam Mallonee (Taryn); and six great-nieces/nephews.
The family will receive friends for a reception on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Hagerstown, MD.
