Olga Zenecky of Ellenville NY passed away Tuesday, August 19 peacefully at home with her family. She was 101 years old.

Olga was born February 5, 1924 in a small village near Lviv Ukraine. She fled Ukraine during the Stalin years and settled in Germany at the height of World War 2. On June 18 1944, Olga married Stephen Zenecky in Germany. They came to the United States in November 1952 and settled in Yonkers, NY. She worked as a supervisor at the Cheerful Greeting Card company in White Plains NY. She was active with many Ukrainian Organizations throughout the years including The Women’s Association for the defense of the four freedoms of Ukraine, and The Ukrainian National Association. She crafted Ukrainian ceramic dishes, loved to cook and entertain and loved being around family.

Olga is survived by her grandchildren, John Zenecky Jr, Edward Zenecky, and Lisa Zenecky Kachnic; and her daughter-in-law, Betty Zenecky; and many friends.

Olga is predeceased by her husband, Stephen; and 2 children, John And Marie Zenecky

Visitation will be held at Humiston Funeral Home on Friday, August 22 from 4 - 7 PM with a service beginning at 6:30. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday, August 23 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery.
