Olive Basha Obituary

Cottonport. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Peter John Basha Jr., her two children Mary (Don) Goodman and Peter (Beth) Basha Ill, her five grandchildren Don (Amy), Wallace (Kim), Robert, Matthew, and Emma and her three great-grandchildren Acadia, Gabriel, and Hannah. She loved her family more than anything else in the world. She was happiest sitting at the head of the table, holding her husband's hand, watching her family gather and eat her gumbo. Olive could almost always be found outside in her garden tending to her beloved fig trees that were always available for the neighborhood to pick from and enjoy. Olive is now at peace watching over and protecting her family and waiting to reunite with her husband so she can hold his hand again.
