Olive Theresa Guidroz, age 95, passed away on May 17, 2025. Born in 1930, on Avoca Island, Louisiana, Olive was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of everyone around her.
Olive is survived by her son Walter Guidroz (Julie Rosati) and daughter Susan Hutchinson (Darryl), granddaughter Olivia Hutchinson. Olive also leaves behind her brother Byron Tabor (Kay).
Family and friends are invited to come together to remember and celebrate Olive’s life. A visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on May 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at noon. Afterward, Olive will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
Olive was preceded in death by her husband Scott Guidroz, parents Orville Tabor and Emma Tabor, and brother Albert Tabor.
The family would like to thank the Heart of Hospice, including Marissa Jones, Abby Pellegrin and Karen Flint, as well as caregivers Darlene Aucoin, Nicole Aucoin, and Wilda Riles for their recent support.
