Olivia McLean Whiddon, 61, born on May 24, 1964, in Tifton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 7, 2025. A beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend, Olivia was a vibrant and spirited individual whose life was filled with love and dedication to her family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Albritton Funeral Directors.
Randy Bloodworth, William Downs, Marshall McLean, Shane Connell and Jason Hill will serve as pallbearers.
Olivia was a graduate of Tift County High School in 1982 and further pursued her education at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Throughout her working career, she made significant contributions in various roles. Olivia started as a ground’s keeper and security officer at ABAC, before moving on to work as a truck driver with her husband with Crete Carrier from 2002 to 2009. From 2009 until her passing, she retired from the Tift County Board of Education from the nutrition department 2024.
Known for her spunky spirit, Olivia had a great passion for life. She cherished the simple joys of riding motorcycles and nurturing her gardens and yard, where she found delight in the beauty of her flowers and shrubs. Above all, her greatest joy came from taking care of her family, a testament to her nurturing and loving nature.
Olivia's faith was integral to her life, and she was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton since 2014. Her commitment to her Christian belief instilled a love to read her bible daily.
She is survived by her husband, Kurt Whiddon, with whom she shared twenty-three wonderful years of marriage; her daughter, Raven Mullis; her brother, Marshall McLean; her sisters, Melisa Bloodworth and William Downs, and Melinda and Stephen Clements; as well as her niece Shelby Clements and nephews Randy Bloodworth and Tristin Clements.
Olivia was preceded in death by her father, James "Jim" H. McLean, and her mother, Etta Fernella King McLean. Their love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable person she became.
