Ollie May Werle, 93, Liberty, Missouri passed away November 27, 2024 at Liberty Hospital. A visitation will be held from 11 AM to noon on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs, 5951 MO-10, Excelsior Springs, Missouri 64024. A funeral service will follow at noon and gravesides services will be held immediately after the funeral at North New Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in Ollie's memory to Orrick First Baptist Church or North New Garden Cemetery Fund. Ms. Werle was born February 15, 1931 in Pomona, Missouri to Cleve and Bertha (Miller) Evins.
Ollie was born and raised in the Pomona, Missouri area. She later moved to the Liberty area to start her teaching career. She met her husband, Maurice Werle in Liberty, and they were married in April of 1958. Ollie continued to teach in the Liberty area and her and Maurice made Orrick their home. Later in life she worked for Tredegar Plastics in Excelsior Springs. Following the death of her husband in 2003, Ollie continued to live in the Orrick area, until her failing health forced the move back to Liberty. Were she spent the remainder of her life.
Ollie enjoyed cooking, flowers and gardening, and her family. She loved the Lord, and was a longtime member at The First Baptist Church of Orrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Maurice, her parents Cleve and Bertha Evins, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Ollie is survived by her children; Dale (Mariann) Werle of Orrick, Kenneth Werle of Orrick and Debra Werle of Gladstone, her grandchildren; Cassie (Michael) Lamp, Alison Williams, Tyler Werle and Gloria Werle, 8 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
