I loved me some Opal Gresham. My fondest memory of Ms. Opal is that she taught me to play the card game Hand and Foot. During some spirited tournaments, over the years, we exchanged thoughts on current events, travel and the gossip of the day...and she always cautioned me to never play down too low.

You knew where Ms. Opal stood because she didn't hold back if she had a perspective on something. Her impact on those who were blessed to know her was profound. I will truly miss her.
