Orlando Jerome Washington 45 of San Angelo, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
Private family services were held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Orlando was born on November 17, 1977 in San Angelo, Tx. to Barbara Ann Washington. He attended Central High School. He enjoyed playing football, track and love landscaping, he loved talking about his junior high school days and getting the nickname "Edison". Landy was great at drawing and sculpturing. After high school he married Mary Swann of Abilene Texas on August 18, 2000. He was a wonderful father who loved family, had a big heart and who would give you the shirt off his back. He was a jokester at heart, was a big kid, and played around a lot. But more than anything he loved life and those that were in his life. His family was very important to him. He never met a stranger and was never a stranger to anyone, and everyone was a friend. He made everyone he met laugh at the funniest things. He loved and always talked about his kids. And most importantly he was a "Mom's Boy".
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Wahington; his grandparents, Lucious and Inez Washington; his uncles, Douglas and David Washington (Alaska); and his aunt, Gloria Washington Campbell all of San Angelo Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Washington; 4 children, Matthew, Alijah, Ja'Von, and Ryder Washington all of San Angelo and "McKenzie". Four grandchildren, Cattleya, Mylez Washington, Alejandro Fuentes, and Lil monkey; two sisters, Adonna Washington of San Angelo and Terri Washington of Garland; one brother, Antonio (Tifani) Washington of San Antonio; two nieces, Jilian, Katelyn; three nephews, Michael, Xavier, David; three great-nephews and niece, Dante, D'Andre, Damari Ussery of Wichita, Kansas; and his BFAM, Alonzo Wiley and Michael Holt; and a host of loving family members.
he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people's disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.
Isaiah 25:8
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
