In Loving Memory of Oscar Oziel Davila With profound sorrow and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Oscar Oziel Davila, who left this world far too soon at the age of 30, on Monday, September 1, 2025, in San Antonio, TX. Born on April 25, 1995, in McAllen, TX, Oscar's vibrant spirit touched every life he encountered.
Oscar was above all a devoted father, son, brother, and uncle. For him, family always came first, and his greatest pride and joy were his two beloved children, Oscar Oziel Davila Jr. and Kataleya Davila. Every moment he shared with them was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of memories that will forever live in their hearts.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Minne (Damian) Garcia, his father, Oziel (Rebecca) Davila, and his siblings, Connie Garcia, Yoli Davila, Victoria Hernandez, Christian Enriquez, Rebecca Silva, Jose D. Garcia, Juan Garcia and Joel Garcia. He was also a cherished uncle to his niece, Mia Garcia, and his nephew, Lucas Hernandez. He also leaves behind his wife and the mother of his children, Daisy Lanette Resendez, who together gave life to two beautiful children.
Oscar was known for his sociable and joyful nature. He loved to host family gatherings, always ready to fire up the grill. His specialty was hamburgers-best enjoyed with a cold beer and the company of those he loved most. He had a mischievous streak that kept everyone smiling, but behind that playful spirit was a man with a humble soul and a heart bigger than life itself.
He embraced life fully, never letting a day pass without creating memories. Among his favorite escapes was heading to the river with his loyal dog. There, he would sit by the riverside, relax, and enjoy life's simple pleasures-sometimes finding peace and reflection in a moment of calm with nature.
Oscar leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, humility, and joy. He was the kind of person who reminded others to live in the moment, to love deeply, and to always keep family at the heart of everything.
A memorial service will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Flores Funeral Home in Mission, TX. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Santa Fe Cemetery in Mission, TX.
Funeral arrangements are under the compassionate care of Flores Funeral Home.
Oscar will forever be remembered for his laughter, his big heart, and the love he gave so freely. Though his life was brief, the impact he made on his family and friends will be eternal.
