Oscar Luis Sandoval, age 92, passed away on October 10, 2025, in Clovis, NM. Rosary will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm with a Memorial Mass to follow at 2:30 pm, with Father Franklin Iwuagwu officiating at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 921 North Merriwether Street. Burial will be held in Del Rio Memorial Park, Highway 90 East Del Rio, TX, at a later date.
Mr. Sandoval was born on July 16, 1933, in Laredo, TX to Arturo Sandoval and Feliz (Cantú) Sandoval. He married Peggy Ann Oxford on October of 1947 in England. They were the first parents in Laredo to have all three sons proudly serve in the Military. Mr. Sandoval retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years of service. He then retired from the civil service after XX years from Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM. Mr. Sandoval enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and cooking for friends and family.
He is survived by his daughters Josie Swecker (Bill) Midland, GA. Dora Upchurch, Watkinsville, GA. Stepchildren Cheryl Clevland (Gary) Phoenix, AZ, Patty Sandoval, Savannah, GA, and Javier Sandoval, Centerville, GA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 24 nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sandoval was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Oxford, parents; Arturo Sandoval and Feliz (Cantú) Sandoval, siblings; Arturo Sandoval, Dolores Sanchez, Lilia Barrera, Jose R. Sandoval, and Beatriz Martinez.
