Pamela "Pam" Buchanan, 56, of West Mansfield and a dedicated wife, loving mother, and cherished Nana, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Hospice of Central Ohio in the O.S.U.-Wexner Medical Center in Columbus after bravely battling Ovarian Cancer. She was born in Van Wert to her late father, William "Junior" Ross and mother, Janet (Jackson) Ross on September 26, 1967. For a while, she had the distinct honor of holding the county record of being the longest baby born at 23 and 1/2 inches.

Pam devoted over 25 years of hard work, dedication, and service to Honda, transitioning through various divisions before retiring from the VQD division. Her strong work ethic and unwavering commitment were evident not only in her professional life but also in her personal roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

A fateful encounter at Burger King led Pam to a lifetime of happiness with her husband Rob, spanning nearly 36 beautiful years of marriage. Her greatest joy stemmed from being a Nana to her grandchildren - Maddison, Kennedy, and Achaius. Whether embarking on zoo trips, fishing adventures, four-wheeler rides, or enjoying movie nights with homemade popcorn, Pam's time with her grandchildren was always filled with laughter and love.
Pam's tireless support for her children's endeavors and activities knew no bounds; she was their biggest cheerleader. Additionally, she served as president of the Raymond Baseball Association for 3 years and took pride in raising awareness for Ovarian Cancer.

Beyond her professional achievements and community involvement, Pam found solace in traveling and creating lasting memories with her family. From vacations across the globe to special trips to France following her children's Foreign Exchange programs and sponsored visits to Korea and Japan by Honda - every moment spent together was cherished deeply. Especially the trips to the West Coast and as everyone knows, to “God’s Little Slice of Heaven on Earth,” Hawaii.

On April 3, 1988 in Columbus, she married her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Robert Buchanan and he survives in West Mansfield.  She is survived by her children, Kristin Amanda Brown of Cincinnati and Kyle Robert Buchanan of California; sisters, Liz, Denise, and Bonnie; brothers, Willie, Jeff and Harold; grandchildren, Maddison McKenzie Brown, Kennedy Kathryn Brown, and Achaius Kyle Buchanan; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who were touched by Pam's kindness and grace.

Visitation for Pam will be held on Saturday, March 16th starting at 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel located at 621 W. 5th Street in Marysville OH. A Celebration of Life service is being planned by the family and will be announced at a later date.
