Pamela J. Cookson, 72, of Elmore, Vermont passed away on Saturday, September 27 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with her husband and son by her side.

Pam was born June 16, 1953 to Clifford and Pauline (Desmarais) Hill.

After attending Lamoille Union High School, Pam met Robert Cookson at a dance. After a short courtship Pam and Robert were married at the Puffer Methodist Church in Morrisville, VT on July 10, 1976.

Pam worked as a home health provider for a short time before becoming a stay at home mother to raise their son, Robert W. Cookson Jr.

Pam loved to bake and spend countless hours in her vegetable and flower gardens. Her greatest love was becoming a grandmother to her two granddaughters, Taylor and Jadyn.

Pam leaves behind her husband, Robert W. Cookson Sr.; her son, Robert W. Cookson Jr. and his wife, Wendy Cookson, and their two children, Taylor and Jadyn Cookson of Irasburg.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th at 10:00am at the Lake Elmore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network, P.O. Box 828, Morrisville, VT 05661.
