Pamela T. Counter, 69, of Florence, WI died Friday, December 15, 2023 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. She was born September 3, 1954 in Iron Mountain, MI, daughter of the late Kenneth Sjoberg and Rita (Ronny) McMullen. Pam was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from the Florence High School in 1973.
Pam grew up in both Iron Mountain, MI and Florence, WI. She was married to the late Bob Counter in 1973 and had two beautiful children, Ty and Jeny. She worked for many years for the Florence County School District and later worked as a legal secretary. She met her partner in crime, Keith Coy, and together they had a beautiful life living in Spread Eagle, WI. She retired from Drexler Law Office in 2015.
Pam had many interests including hunting, fishing, feeding the deer and birds, and just had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed playing cards, gambling, swimming, gardening, watching Netflix, having girls' nights at Beanies and playing pinochle. Pam also enjoyed spending time on the water, basking in the sun and beating Keith in fishing tournaments. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her 4 grandchildren; they were her pride and joy, and she loved them all so much.
Pam is survived by her significant other, Keith Coy; two children, Ty (Angela) Counter of Iron Mountain and Jeny (Dan) Shanoski of Green Bay; two brothers, Mike and Paul McMullen; three sisters, Linda (Bob) Viste, Nancy St. Germaine and Sandra McMullen; and four grandchildren, Cade and Mia Counter, Tristen and Ryan Shanoski.
She was preceded in death by her stepson, Kyle Coy.
Visitation will be held 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Brent Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in the Commonwealth Cemetery.
